God is BOCK: Genesis I: 1-23

So I've officially started reading the Bible cover to cover, taking everything 100% Literally that is there. It is the STORY of God and His children, as written by Him.
e
With that said, the first Literal section is "Six Days of Creation AND the Sabbath."

So...

We are still in Day 6 because we have not yet reached the Sabbath of human existence with God. At least most of us have not YET anyway.

[If you get confused with the idea of Day v. Night as more than 24 hours, go live in Antartica for a "day" or so...]

At NO point in the creation story does it ever mention anything about actually interacting and being with his creation.

He says/writes "Let it Be" and it is so.

and as far as "evolution goes"

"And God said, "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures and let birds fly above the earth across the dome of the sky. So God created...And God saw that it was good. God blessed them saying Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas [Alan Jackson much? I'm a fool for you...], and let birds multiply on the earth. [end day 5]

So yeah, if you'd like to make the argument that birds came from sea creatures, go for it; they both came from God almost simultaneously.

It is what it is according to the "Revised Standard Edition," consulted by religious scholars of Judaism and Christianity, and declared such by Protestants, Anglican, Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox in 1989 as copyrighted; published in 2008.

Kill the Terrorist(s)!

The talk show scene in "V For Vendetta" should come to mind. [Fight Club and Dark Knight are also good examples though[

There are verry deep transcendental notes coming up, but I was in the need for a laugh.

I heard the war debate for the ten trillionth time last week.

My being able to stay out of it with my own opinion was my first real intellectual moment.

So pending how you react to my idea will determine your sheepliness, like it or not.

Crazy people do crazy things

And you have to deal with them.

The End.

Round Round Get Around...

So, my overall goal is to post at least once a week here, possibly every day, and what better place to start than an event which has transcended >4 years of bugging and hoping.
[consider this a preview]

I have a Learner's Permit.

The test wasn't hard, a few tricky questions, but with the help of the visual aids, you're good to go.

It is quite a confusing system. You have to figure out just which key will get the thing to start, but I think I mastered it just in time.

But I'm actually almost more glad to have a valid ID bc I have absolutely no idea when I'll actually be able to "practice." [though I am quite excited to be able to do so; don't get me wrong.]

I am, however, somewhat curious as to what really goes on in:
a club
a theater showing an R-rated movie
[hopefully they're not one in the same...]

but anyway...

this has been the longest process so far in my life.

Now for that girl...

I Love Everybody

Typically. a first blog is an "about me" type thing.

The only thing to say at this point is I'm at a very interesting point in my life. Everything I say will NOT sound as cheesy as this first blog, and I hope to improve as I do this on a more regular basis.

Basically, I have spent the last few months (years?) with the mentality of being as NoT normal as possible, yet I've always found myself just one hint out of the "loop;" there are people I consider to be friends but what I'm really looking for are people to hang out with; people who I can be calm around enough to actually feel normal.

There are at least 3 sides to me- the crazy, unpredictable, possibly sometimes annoying side;
the "immature pig/guy" side (the one that I hope has NEVER gone public);

the side that I think I will eventually primarily assume-the side that smiles calmly with the leather jacket that he got from THE Paul O' Neill and who is ready to lead himself and his helpers, following God to make His differemce in the world; do interpret that as you will, but pay attention/note the email address.

I try to live everyday with the mindset that everything truly good is a gift from God and I try to be the miracle somebody will need me to be.

If nothing else, my newest resolution was to make at least one person happy per day. I've gotten behind on that goal, but I hope to catch up.

***As for the tititle, long before Facebook added poking, my family poked one another as signs that we thought we were ok people; almost signs of compassion.

Consider this your uplifting oh-so-slight jab in the right direction as I search for mine.***
